What is Salvation?Unbelievers do not realize they have a need for salvation "the need to be: delivered, rescued, liberated, set free, saved."
If you have come here looking for a change in your life, if you have come seeking a peace that is found only through a personal relationship with a loving God, then you are at the right place. God is ready and willing to help you—right now, and right where you are.
- Unbelievers must understand that if they do not commit themselves to Jesus Christ, they will spend eternity separated from their Loving Creator.
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." -- Romans 3:23
It doesn't matter what you've done in your life -- it is forgivable. It's even forgettable. God loves you and He made a plan to absolve you of all guilt and shame -- to wash away your sins and give you a life worth living.
God knows about everything that has brought you to this very moment, and He loves you. He understands your feelings and wants to help you to live a better life, but He isn't pushy. He won't force Himself upon you. God is waiting for you to be at the place where you are willing to recognize His plan, call out to Him and invite Him into your life.
- Becoming a child of God through Jesus Christ restores any man, any woman, any child to a right relationship with their Heavenly Father.
- Once you make a commitment to Jesus, you have a new relationship with God and become spiritually alive.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life." -- John 3:16
God's plan was to redeem mankind from sin through the sacrificial life and death of His only Son, Jesus. God loved us so much, He wanted to give us His best and that's why He sent Jesus. Jesus died on the cross for the sins of the world. There was no greater sacrifice to the Father than to give up His only Son, Jesus. It was hard for Him, but it was also right in His sight. Through Jesus' sacrificial death on the cross and resurrection from the grave, mankind was given an opportunity to be redeemed from sin.
- The sole reason Jesus came to earth was to bring salvation to mankind.
God tells us in His Word that sin must be paid for, and the only payment acceptable in God's eyes is the blood of His only Son, Jesus Christ. When we accept Jesus, we are accepting God's plan and God can then start working with us and in us. Our simple faith in His plan opens the door for our heart to change, and then our life can start changing too.
- He came to restore the broken relationship with our heavenly Father.
"I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." -- John 14:6
- Jesus died on the cross for our salvation.
"Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God." -- John 1:12
God gave His best when He gave us Jesus Christ, and now there is nothing else we can do to earn His grace. Jesus earned it for us. He took our blame and our sins. He died and rose again so that we might be free and clear in God's sight. Now, all we have to do is realize our need for God and accept that Jesus Christ's death and resurrection is His plan for our redemption -- and go to Him in prayer. Sometimes people make this difficult, but God has made it very simple.
All He asks is that you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus already paid for your sins. Together, these things bring about redemption. Together they open the doorway so that you can be redeemed. Why not pray right now. Take a moment to talk to God from your heart. Let Him know that you want Him to be a part of your life and you believe that Jesus came to die for your sins too. Just be sincere, and you will receive salvation.
- He even gave us an Invitation to Pray.
That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."
Lord, I know that I am a sinner and I ask you to forgive me. I believe Christ died for me and I want to turn from my sins. Jesus, come into my heart and be my personal Lord and Savior. I promise to obey you and follow you all the days of my life. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
